DESIGN+INSPIRATION: Lutz & Patmos for Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu for Spring 2010

Style.com gave us a preview of the Spring 2010 collections that included introductions to new designers, hype of all the many parties, and something in particular that inspired me.
The duo that is Lutz & Patmos collaborated with Desmond Tutu to create this beautifully-designed knit organic cotton deep neck yoked back piece. They submitted design options to the Arch Bishop and this one was chosen. The piece will be unveiled during fashion week. Proceeds from sales will go to the Desmond Tutu Peace Center and the Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust.

Two of my favorite things coming together to benefit those in need. Fashion and humanity are a perfect pair because purpose breathes life into fashion and fuels the passion for it even more.
