DESIGN: Etsy Love- GIIA statement neckwear

I'm a fan of Italian designer Giia who sells amazing felt-based pieces on Etsy. I was in the mood to shop before the weekend begins. So much to choose from right now. I'm pretty sure I'm going for the ARMIE Stone neck piece in Gray or Red... or both!!

Check out her store and enjoy :)

CHECK IT OUT: Erykah Badu covers JET Magazine

Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows I'm one of Ms. Badu's biggest fans so......

Can't wait for June 20th. E. Badu at the Greek Theater! That will make my 7th Badu show :)

DESIGN: Delicate Nature- Bliss Lau's Art Deco Ziegfeld shoulder jewelry

I'm in love with this shoulder adornment from Bliss Lau. Ever since I used the Bliss Lau Art Deco Ziegfeld piece on my latest photo shoot, I've become obsessed with it. It's a pretty penny to pay (about $400) for a delicate piece of body jewelry but the drape and fit of this piece is so immaculate it makes you feel instantly feminine. The look is stunning.

My interpretation on set with Italian recording artist, Senit

MUSIC: SUN-RA The Shadows Cast by Tomorrow

Sun Ra - The Shadows Cast by Tomorrow

Well, this is exciting.... As if owning any of legendary artist Sun-Ra's music isn't enough of a treat, Jazzman Records has released a box set of three very rare 7-inches originally released in very limited quantities under Sun Ra's Saturn label. Jazzman's reissue, itself, is very limited, less than 1000 copies!! I can't wait to get my hands on this!

Check out this artwork! Each copy is hand printed in gold screenprint... beautiful

LIFE: Fashion editorial shoot behind-the-scenes with Andrew Kuykendall

Here is a behind-the-scenes peek at one of my latest fashion editorial shoots with photographer Andrew Kuykendall.

This shoot was young, fun, and spontaneous. With pieces from Chelsea Rebelle, Acne, Julia y Renata, Jerell Scott, Alexander Wang, and many more, the results were perfect.

Andrew and I have produced such great work together. I love everything he does and LOVE the way this story turned out. I will let you know where this one lands!

I LOVE: PATTERNITY aka PATTERNITY( not to be confused with is a work of genius. More than just a blog or shop or design studio they are ALL THREE and so much more!

Based in East London, the company founded by art director Anna Murray & textiles designer
Grace Winteringham have created a haven for those in love with and inspired by all things pattern. It's like your birthday everyday. Each day the duo present new inspirations and there is an impressive archive that would take you hours to get through.

Patternity also consists of an online shop (coming soon) and design studio that produces stunning collaborative works of art.

(Patternity & Toby Winteringham)

I'm HUGE on pattern so to stumble upon Patternity is a treat. Whether we realize it or not pattern is what drives us on a daily basis. Truly it is with it that we function. So from an art and design perspective you have to appreciate the subtleties of natures patterns and the intentions of man-made pattern that influence you without you even knowing it. That's powerful!

LIFE: All That's Left is Wonder in Chaos Magazine's Spring 2010 issue

Check out one of my latest editorials in Chaos Magazine's Spring 2010 Wonderland issue.

All That's Left is Wonder
photography: Tamar Levine
Styling: Yours truly, Camille Yvette

This was an enjoyable shoot for me because I love kids styling and don't get the opportunity to do so very often. We went with a 1920's theme and the story of woman's lost child. This entire issue is amazing and Chaos did a great job of selecting some of the best and most relevant fashion stories. All That's left is Wonder can be found on page 70. Enjoy!!

CURRENTLY LOVING: Pastel Pink and Blue heels

(Camilla Skovgaard)

Heels in hues ranging from Nude to Blush to Salmon and Dusty to Cloud to Cerulean. They're all I want to wear right now. They're perfect with tonal Taupe, Gray, White, Black, and Denim.

LIFE: Behind the scenes with Italian Artist, Senit!!!

Meet Senit. She is an Italian recording artist who you will be hearing A LOT from on the near future. Senit and her team flew to LA to shoot for her upcoming album and editorial spread for Obvious Magazine. Our team had the task of completely revamping Senit's image and THAT WE DID!

Photographer Jerris Madison captured the fierceness that is Senit!
I styled her in Sexy Military-chic, perfect for her new look!
Hair and Make-up Donell and Reggie killed it!!

Senit was SUCH a pleasure. So sweet and loves her new look. You can judge the revamp yourself.... Thoughts? Comments?
