LIFE: Fashion editorial shoot behind-the-scenes with Andrew Kuykendall

Here is a behind-the-scenes peek at one of my latest fashion editorial shoots with photographer Andrew Kuykendall.

This shoot was young, fun, and spontaneous. With pieces from Chelsea Rebelle, Acne, Julia y Renata, Jerell Scott, Alexander Wang, and many more, the results were perfect.

Andrew and I have produced such great work together. I love everything he does and LOVE the way this story turned out. I will let you know where this one lands!

LIFE: D-Mode Editorial Shoot

There's a reason I've been gone for 11 days. I've been SO busy! With pulling, returning, shooting, living, reviewing, reading, typing etc. I've barely had time to do some of the things I most enjoy; ie: thrift shopping, searching for new designers. Anyhow, I'm back... for a little while... and thought I'd share these pics from my last shoot for D-Mode Magazine. Beyond-talented photographer Andrew Kuykendall shot stunning natural beauty, Katrina Hunter, from LA Models. Daniel Chinchilla did the honors of make-up and hair.

This was my first time working with Katrina and I have to say I'm blown away by her. This new look of hers is so new that I think we may have shot one of the first stories to feature it. Katrina is a true chameleon. She went from long sleek Black hair to this amazing Platinum Blonde cut without blinking. It's so natural on her it's like she was born this way! Check out some of her past work below and you'll see what I'm talking about.

LIFE: Itty Bitty editorial in Glitterati Magazine- Day For Night

This is a small editorial published In LA-based Glitterati Magazine. I styled this, primarily using labels Anzevino & Florence and Les Sang Des Betes, alongside photographer Andrew Kuykendall. There is much more to this story but sometimes the magazines heavily edit and narrow down to what best fits their issue (have you seen The September Issue Yet?). Even with it's editing, I do still love it's simplicity and very quiet stillness.

EDITORIAL: SOUNDS OF SILENCE in Chaos Magazine

My friend and co-collaborator Andrew Kuykendall shot this story for Chaos Magazine's Autumn 09 issue. Check it out. I love the lighting and the mood he's captured here.
