LIFE: Fashion editorial shoot behind-the-scenes with Andrew Kuykendall

Here is a behind-the-scenes peek at one of my latest fashion editorial shoots with photographer Andrew Kuykendall.

This shoot was young, fun, and spontaneous. With pieces from Chelsea Rebelle, Acne, Julia y Renata, Jerell Scott, Alexander Wang, and many more, the results were perfect.

Andrew and I have produced such great work together. I love everything he does and LOVE the way this story turned out. I will let you know where this one lands!

DESIGN: Karishma Shahani A/W 10= My Summer Inspiration

Fashion 156 features LCF's Graduate student Karishma Shahani's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. The collection is so unbelieveably breath-taking, a vision of dreams and fantasies that reminds me of days past when indigenous people wore works of art on a daily basis. These colors and silhouettes are stuck in my mind, providing me with enough inspiration to last through the year! Congrats to Ms. Shahani....

Designer/Stylist LaQuan Smith's FW 2010 is amazing! Hard to believe he's only 21 years old and this is only his second collection! What they say is true. Age is nothing but a number and I believe we haven't seen anything yet. Smith has such a long future ahead.

DESIGN: Julian Louie, Take me into Spring

I'm over the winter here in LA. Today I was in a Spring-y Peachy mood so that's what I wore. Peach smock neck blouse, Light Peach raw silk blazer, chunky copper necklace, with everyday jeans and Silver brogues. Who better to post than designer Julian Louie and her sherbert-hued Spring 2010 collection? The Spring collections are hitting stores rapidly and I can't wait to get my hands on them!

DESIGN: Welcome Hunters Project White T-Shirt- My Faves so far

If you haven't heard, Welcome Hunters LA is working alongside Triple Major to host Project White T-shirt. Triple Major is curating this charitable project which includes 31 designers from 13 countries (1 designer for each day of December) who've been asked to reinvent the classic White T-shirt. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Designers Against Aids.

I am in love with the concept and purpose of this project. I'm a firm believer in the power of a White T-shirt, especially when you begin to look around you and the season's trends have taken over the masses (ie: . Every once in a while I feel the need to "detox" and wear a simple White T with classic separates for a spell.

I know I'm not alone in this belief as Welcome Hunters has worked with some of the world's leading avante Guard designers in this effort. Here, some of my favorite creations:
