I only had two and a half hours to spend at the LACMA and I saved the best for last. Fashioning Fashion- European dress in detail 1700-1915 is a beautifully curated display of 18th-early 20th century dress in relation to textiles, silhouettes, and politics. Here are (many) highlights from the exhibit. I had a hard time narrowing it down :)
The Fashioning Fashion exhibit ends soon on February 2nd. Please make it a point to take it in.

LOVE it! wish i could have seen the exhibit. actually funny, reading a book on chanel right now, and how it was comparing the careers of the two (with poiret). thanks for the virtual tour! :)
